| 内容記述 | 宗教教育に関して、日本では「宗教的情操教育」をめぐって、特定宗教、特定宗派を離れて宗教的情操の涵養が可能かどうかという点について戦後繰り返し議論されている。本稿は、宗教教育に関するこのような問いに対する一定の回答を探る試みとして、超越主義からプラグマティズムへと至る宗教観の変遷に着目し論考する。 そのなかで、既成宗教に代替する「宗教」性を説いた三者エマソン（Ralph Waldo Emerson,1803-1882）、ジェイムズ（William James,1842-1910）、デューイ（John Dewey,1859-1952）の宗教論を考察することを通して、特定宗派によらない宗教的情操涵養の可能性を探る。 |

| 内容記述 | In conjunction with "the cultivation of religious sentiment", it is argued about a point whether cultivation of the religious sentiment is possible, without the help of the specific religion, the specific denomination in the religious education of Japan. It is trid to investigates an answer to such question about the religious education in this article. It studies the change of the religious idea from the Transcendentalism to the Pragmatism. I try to research the possibility to cultivate religious sentiment without help of the established religion by considering the religious thought of Ralph Waldo Emerson, William James, and John Dewey, who preached a "religion" gender as the substitute for established religion. |
