| 内容記述 | 特別養護老人ホーム（以下、特養）の生活相談員（ソーシャルワーカー）が行うアセスメントとは何だろうか。どのように説明するのだろう。入居者の施設サービス計画、ケアプラン作成のためのアセスメントだろうか。それは、ケアマネージャーが行うアセスメントと同じだろうか。違うのだろうか。生活相談員のアセスメントの意義を議論したい。 まず、ソーシャルワークにおけるアセスメントの重要性を検討した。ソーシャルワーク理論の歴史的な変遷を踏まえながら、アセスメントの定義を論考した。また、特養の業務が無限定性を持つことを踏まえて議論を進めた。入所型施設である特養は、利用者にとっては生活の場である。生活課題も生じていると考えられる。生活課題は、整理された学知に基づいて説明できるものばかりではない。予期できない生活課題も生じる。それまでに取り組んだことがない業務も発生する。つまり、無限定性を持つ。 そして、無限定性を持つ業務に対応する生活相談員について本稿における専門性を概念規定した。生活相談員はジェネラリストであることが一つの価値として導出された。その、ジェネラリストであることを視座においてアセスメントの意義の説明を試みた。アセスメントの対象である利用者の生活課題は複合的である。一つの科学領域だけで解決することは難しいこともある。生活課題に多職種で取り組むのであれば、どのスタッフにどの要素に取り組んでもらうのか。マッチングが必要になるのではないだろうか。さらに、取り組むスタッフが理解できるように、合意できるように要素を、生活課題を説明する必要がある。 それぞれのスタッフの専門性を勘案して生活課題を表現すること。ジェネラリストである生活相談員にしかできない仕事である。生活相談員の行うアセスメントの価値である。そして、アセスメントが生活相談員の専門性をあらわしていることが理解できる。本研究の成果といえる。 What is the meaning of assessment by social workers at intensive care homes for the elderly? How would you explain it? Is this assessment used to create a facility service plan and care plans for residents? Is it the same as the assessment performed by care managers? This paper discusses the significance of social workers’ assessments at intensive care homes for the elderly. First, I examined the importance of assessment in social work, considering historical changes in the theory. The discussion then proceeded based on the understanding that services at intensive care homes for the elderly are comprehensive and unlimited. An intensive care home for the elderly is a place where residents live, and it is believed that life issues also arise within these settings. Not all life issues can be explained based on organized academic knowledge. Furthermore, this paper defines the concept of expertise for social workers, who handle a wide variety of tasks. One of the values of a social worker is being a generalist. I attempted to explain the significance of assessment from the perspective of being a generalist. The life issues of the residents, who are the subjects of the assessment, are complex. Social workers must express the elements of these life issues in a way that staff working with them can understand and agree upon. Social workers at intensive care homes for the elderly express life issues based on the expertise of each staff member. This is a task that only generalist social workers can perform. This is the value of the assessment conducted by social workers. It is also evident that the assessment reflects the expertise of the social worker at intensive care homes for the elderly, which can be considered a result of this research. |
