Japanese case reports concerning this strategy are insufficient. Also, the role of public health nurses based on this report is inadequate.\n The objective of this study was to investigate community empowerment in the community health improvement process and the role of public health nurses desired by residents in former Soyou Town (Present: Yamato Town).\n The subjects were \"kenko-muratyo\" working as community health promoters from 2 to 12 years when the health promotion process was in progress, performing health-promoting activities, who rook part in an anonymous questionnaire survey.\n The survey focused on the motivation to be a \"community health promoter\", the contents of activities, the effect of changes on oneself・the family・community on being \"kenko-muratyo\", and the role of public health nurses.\n Therefore, a review of the structure of community health promoters will examine their objectives-to develop a plan for the democratic administration of the organization, in which the administration of the academic society and its activities is conducted through discussions, and identify and examine health-related problems and the effects of changes on people, their families, and the community as health promoters.\n Regarding the role of public health nurses, they answered \"give information which the residents need\", \"set up opportunities and a place for activities\", \"understand the activities\", and \"listen to
