According to previous research, the creation of teaching materials involves “teaching material interpretation” and “teaching material organization.” We therefore identified codes for teaching material interpretation from teaching about “informed consent” and codes for teaching material organization from teaching about “conferences.” Data were analyzed qualitatively and similar codes with commonalities were assigned category names.\nResults: In total 39, categories were extracted from teaching about informed consent as “teaching material interpretation.” Both instructors and nurses chose the categories ‘“nursing care,”’ ‘“understanding”’ and‘“consent.’” Meanwhile, 52 categories were extracted from teaching about conferences and no common categories were seen.\nConclusions: The roles and experiences of individual instructors were reflected in the creation of teaching materials in bioethics education.
