A questionnaire survey was administered to 963 ward nurses. A total of 342 valid responses from 397 ward nurses were analyzed, and 112 codes were obtained. An examination of the codes using a top-down approach, based on the social skills concept proposed by Kikuchi et al., identified eight categories, including skills in “basic functioning,” “processing of feelings,” “conflict avoidance,” “reduction of stress,” “planning,” “support,”“communicating with older/younger colleagues,” and “group behavior.” Ward nurses develop effective relationships using skills for “basic functioning,” “communicating with older/younger colleagues,” and “group behavior.” In addition, they perform their duties more effectively by controlling their feelings using “basic functioning,” “support,” “planning,” “conflict avoidance,” “processing of feelings,” “reduction of stress” and “group behavior” to maintain relationsips. These skills are important to establish effective relationships in a favorable workplace environment and are characteristic of the actions of nurses that allow them to perform their duties effectively.}, pages = {41--50}, title = {病棟看護師の関係維持と構築に関する研究 : 社会的スキルを用いた分析}, volume = {18}, year = {2018} }
