| 内容記述 | 最初に身体拘束と、その弊害について言及し、熊本県の介護保険施設における身体拘束廃止の現状について述べた。次に身体拘束を廃止できない原因を考え、身体拘束を行わないための要件を考察した。身体拘束を行わないためには、まず認知症高齢者の症状の理解を深め、周辺症状の原因を理解し取り除くことが重要である。さらに認知症高齢者の心理的ニーズに即した対応が求められ、ICFの視点で認知症高齢者を理解し、認知症高齢者が落ち着く環境を整備することが必要である。最後に身体拘束のない個別ケアを実現するための、孔子の里におけるユニットケアの取り組みについて紹介した。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | This paper first described the physical restraint and its negative effects, with presentation of the current development concerning how these approaches are being abolished in the long-term care insurance facilities in Kumamoto Prefecture. It then discussed why the physical restraint still remains, and examined the requirements for restraint-free care. Toward eliminating physical restraint, deeper understanding on the senile dementia symptoms is vital, along with knowledge on the causes of its peripheral symptoms to remove them. In addition, the restraint-free care requires appropriate responses to meet the psychological needs of the elderly with dementia, the ICF-based perspective for understanding senile dementia, and the comfortable environment for these patients. The paper ended with introduction of the unit care practiced in Koshi-no Sato to realize the individual care without physical restraints. | |||||
