| 内容記述 | ［目的］ 我が国では、1948年（昭和23年）に保健所における歯科の業務、特に予防処置と早期治療の担い手として歯科衛生士が設けられたが、歯科医師の従属的補助者として女性に割り当てられた職業であり、ジェンダー秩序の維持がなされてきた。一方で口腔領域に関わる他専門職間における支配管轄権の競合が専門職化過程に内在している｡歯科衛生士のジェンダー意識と、仕事価値観が支配管轄意識、職務継続意志に与える影響について分析することを目的とする。 ［方法］ 熊本県歯科衛生士会会員569名を対象として支配管轄意識、職務継続意志、仕事価値観、ジェンダー特性（BSRI：Bem Sex Role Invebtory）、平等主義的性役割態度（SESRA-S:the short-form of the Scale of the Egalitarian Sex Role Attitudes）について自記式質問紙調査を行い、115名について重回帰分析を行い有意な影響をおよぼす要因を明らかにした。 ［結果］ ジェンダー特性では、アンドロジニー型が仕事価値観や支配管轄意識が高いことが示唆された。また、職務継続意志を高める要因として仕事価値観の「組織への貢献」とSESRA-Sの「職業観」が影響しており、報酬や労働条件整備だけでなく組織貢献に関する意識を高めるための取り組みも必要であると考えられる。支配管轄意識に対しては、BSRI 男性性、仕事価値観の「自己の成長」「社会的評価」が有意な影響を及ぼしていた。 ［考察］ 支配管轄意識には、BSRI「男性性」、仕事価値観の「自己の成長」、「社会的評価」が有意に影響しており、支配管轄意識を高めるためには男性性の特徴である合理性、自己主張、積極性の獲得や専門職として自己の成長を描くことが必須の要因となることが示唆された。歯科衛生士が専門職としての裁量権を発揮していく上では、ジェンダー特性の男性性の獲得を促すとともに歯科衛生士の支配管轄意識に着目していくことが重要であると考える。 Gender roles are the norm among dental hygienists. The professionalization of dental hygienists requires them to develop strong jurisdictional awareness; however, jurisdictional conflicts in professions related to oral care are inherent to the professionalization process. Thus, this study aimed to analyze the impact of dental hygienists’gender role attitudes and work values on their jurisdictional awareness and intention to continue working. A self-administered questionnaire survey was conducted among 115 members of the Kumamoto Dental Hygienists’ Association. Responses to the questions regarding jurisdictional awareness, the intention to continue in the occupation, and work values were collected and analyzed using the Bem Sex-Role Inventory （BSRI） and the short-form version of the Scale of Egalitarian Sex Role Attitudes （SESRA-S）. Multiple regression analysis was conducted using jurisdictional awareness and the intention to continue working as the objective variables. Respondents with higher levels of BSRI （androgynous） characteristics had higher work values and increased jurisdictional awareness. Additionally, the work value “contributing to the organization” and the SESRA-S element “view of occupation” positively influenced the intent to continue working. These findings indicate that efforts to raise awareness of the organizational contribution, in addition to compensation and working conditions, are necessary to increase the willingness to continue working. BSRI masculinity and the work values “personal growth” and “social evaluation” significantly affected jurisdictional awareness. These findings suggest that masculine characteristics, such as rationality, assertiveness, and proactiveness, and a view of personal growth as caught up in professional growth could increase jurisdictional awareness. In order for dental hygienists to exercise their discretionary authority as professionals and promote professionalization projects, we believe that promoting the acquisition of masculine characteristics is essential.This will likely enhance the jurisdictional awareness among dental hygienists. |
