| 内容記述 | 本研究は、新卒看護師が看護系大学教員に対してもとめるメンタリング機能を明らかにすることを目的とした。新卒看護師が大学教員に対してもとめるメンタリング機能について、プレテスト実施後、40項目からなるメンタリング機能項目を作成した。新卒看護師255名を対象に質問紙調査を郵送法にて実施した。有効回答100名を分析対象とし、【傾聴・承認機能】【学習支援・ガイド機能】【キャリア支援機能】【ライフデザイン相談機能】の４因子31項目が抽出された。大学教員にもとめるメンタリング機能の特徴には、転職や離職、進学や職場復帰の【キャリア支援機能】、不安や悩みを引き出したり、看護の先輩として手本を示す【学習支援・ガイド機能】、恋愛、結婚、子育てについての【ライフデザイン相談機能】が抽出された。本研究で抽出された大学教員にもとめる機能として、【傾聴・承認機能】は臨床看護師のメンタリング機能と類似していたが、新たに【キャリア支援機能】、【学習支援・ガイド機能】、【ライフデザイン相談機能】が抽出され、一部異なっていた。このことから、大学教員が担うメンタリング機能は心理社会的支援に意義があることが示唆された。 This study aimed to identify the mentoring functions adopted by university nursing faculty to mentor new graduate nurses. A pretest was administered to identify mentoring functions, and 40 items were created. A questionnaire was mailed to 255 newly graduated nurses. A total of 100 responses were analyzed, and 31 items were extracted from four categories: “listening and approval function,” “learning support and guide function,” “career support function,” and “life design consultation function.” The following functions were extracted as characteristics of the mentoring functions of university faculty: “career support function” for changing jobs, leaving a job, pursing additional higher education, and returning to work; “learning support/guide function” for discussing concerns and setting an example as an experienced nurse; and “life design consultation function” for love, marriage, and child-rearing. In this study, the “listening and approval” function was similar to the mentoring function, but the “career support,” “learning support and guide,” and “life design counseling” functions were newly extracted and were partially different. This suggests that the mentoring role played by university faculty is significant for the psychosocial support of new nurses. |
